Tree Climber

The Tree Doctor is a full-service tree company (pruning, removals, planting, spraying, fertilizing, injecting, etc.), working out of Buffalo suburbs. Clientele consists of approximately 2,200 middle-to-upper class residents, 8 country clubs, 30+ condos, and various commercial sites. We operate out of two locations with two complete offices and operations in the Buffalo suburbs area. We employ 25 individuals; we have on staff 8 certified arborists and 10 licensed pesticide applicators (some individuals are both).

Type of Work: Pruning trees, rigging for removal, climbing and chainsaw work.

Job Description: Foreman (eventually) of tree crew, all aspects of tree pruning and removal. Bulk of work will be proper pruning of large trees.

Job Duties: driving truck, customer relations, tree pruning and removals.

Education/Experience Requirements: climbing experience preferred

Benefits and Compensation: Wage depends on experience; 12 days paid time off; full benefits; all statutory holidays paid, retirement plan, clothing allowance, conference attendance.

Spray Technician

The Tree Doctor is a full-service tree company (pruning, removals, planting, spraying, fertilizing, injecting, etc.), working out of Buffalo suburbs. Clientele consists of approximately 2,200 middle-to-upper class residents, 8 country clubs, 30+ condos, and various commercial sites. We operate out of two locations with two complete offices and operations in the Buffalo suburbs area. We employ 25 individuals; we have on staff 6 certified arborists and 9 licensed pesticide applicators (some individuals are both). Housing and cost of living expenses in the Buffalo area are among the least expensive in the state. Commuting time can easily be quite minimal.

Type of Work: Operate machinery for spraying and fertilizing. Learn and implement techniques for micro-injection, macro-infusion and growth regulators.

Job Description: Licensed pesticide applicator implementing all aspects of insect and disease treatments for trees and shrubs.

Job Duties: Operate appropriate machinery and tools. Drive truck, keep records, and apply scheduled treatments for tree health.

Education/Experience Requirements: Either a) 3 years experience OR b) graduation from appropriate school and NYS pesticide license.
